💡 Inspiration
My journey into space strategy games began with oGame, an experience that thrilled me from the first webpage load. As I delved into the universe of building, researching, and strategising, my fascination grew.Â
Over the years, this fascination, coupled with hours dedicated to games like Tribal Wars, sparked a question: Could I create something unique in this space? This question set off a 15-year journey of exploration and design, during which I also drew inspiration from broader gaming experiences, including the complex worlds of World of Warcraft and the epic narratives of Age of Mythology. In designing Cosmo Crafter, I aimed to blend the best elements of these worlds.Â
The game features dynamic planetary systems where movement isn’t just a backdrop but a core element of strategic gameplay. Unlike the static alliances found in many space strategy games, Cosmo Crafter introduces Treaties — designed to foster ongoing, active engagement and strategic depth between players.
Cosmo Crafter is more than a game; it's the culmination of 18 years of thought and hundreds of pages of notes, all aimed at crafting a truly dynamic and interactive universe. It’s a universe that evolves, challenges, and respects the intelligence of its players, offering a fresh take on space strategy that I hope will inspire as much excitement in players as my first foray into oGame did in me.Â
