You might be wondering: when are we officially releasing CosmoCrafter? Hopefully, within the next 3 month.
There are a couple of features that we are still working on and that need to be there on the first version of CosmoCrafter. Let's take a look:
Your profile page: we want your friends to be close to you, but your enemies closer, with your profile page, other users can see your discoveries, you ranking and will be able to interact with you.
Messaging System: though private messages are already a reality since a few days ago, we still have to:
2.1. Create the fleet reports - so that you know what happened with your transports, attacks, spy reports, etc...
2.2. Create the community messages - notifications from the administration of the game with the latest news, promotions and other important notifications to our fellow emperors.
2.3. We also need to make some adjustments so that you can easily see unread messages from the main view of the game.
Friends: you can add friends, you can accept them, but we still have to optimize this feature to allow you to cancel friend requests sent and be able to see new friend requests from the main view of the game.
Battle Simulation: we have developed recently a draft of what we want our battle system to be, but it doesn't resemble yet all the rules that we have set to this simulation. It still has to account that Orbital defenses, for instance, have priority to the other defenses when taking the damage, or that before getting to the planetary defenses, spacecrafts might be on the way. It's a complex system, but we will get there and it will be great.
Fleet Movements: we still have to develop a couple of mechanisms around the fleet movements, such as allow the user to send interceptors to incoming attacks or, cancel their transport journey, among other fleet related actions.
Settings: we want to give you the power to control the notifications you get on your inbox, the ability to delete your account, and other power to configure different game settings to improve your experience.
Command Center: the command center still has to be further developed, currently the radar only displays the nearby planets and settlements, but we need it to also display the nearby fleets (even when these fleets are not targeted to your settlement); additionally we also need to finalise the ability for you to send your fleet on a mission.
Galactic Embassy: we are still exploring the options here - but the idea is that you can establish peace treaties with other users and "alliances".
Ability to hire workers from the mining facility: we want to allow you to hire additional workers without having to expand your mining facility, this feature is still missing.
Refinery: a challenging feature to be developed (but has already been started) and that, initially, we were planning on adopting AI to help us achieve this, but now, we have fine-tuned an algorithm that can do the job. We just have to bring this new algorithm together with the UI and the functionality to trigger the discovery of new resources.
Universe 3D map: the current version is a draft, we want you to be able to click on the planets to get more information on the fly and to navigate to the details of the planet or the settlements.
Settlement map: the settlement map is almost fully complete, but its not yet adapting to the planet that is selected nor it has all the links (like the user name) functional.
Finally, of course, we need to make general adjustments, correct bugs here and there, improve the performance on some of our endpoints, etc...
